A better manager than Hodgson picks him every week.

So you're saying all managers that have picked him every week don't have a clue

Re: Noble for England
Only Bilic has made him captain, though.

And we're currently battling to get in the Champions League.

Do you think there's any point when you'll start enjoying it again, Rodders? Maybe you can laugh at all those people that were laughing at us when we appointed Bilic?

That will be Zola grant and Allardyce yeah?

Farts what about all the other west ham managers that have picked him then ?

Re: Noble for England
Or maybe Bilic has found a place for Noble where he is less of a liability.

Re: Noble for England
That still doesn't answer why other than Alli, Barkley and Dier he's not getting a look in? Even than his stats show he ranks higher than all other midfielders in several areas and has the backing of a lot of ex pros in the football world.

Henderson looks awful, Milner has past his best, Wilshere is a crock and Drinkwater isn't that much better if at all that he should be picked ahead of him.

And while we're seeing the best of Noble, maybe it's down to Slaven for finding out the best way to play our captain.

Just to make sure it's understood - it's a wind-up account. Him and a mate make up football stories in an effort to be "funny".

Re: Noble for England
His contribution to West Ham is obvious. Fact is that central midfield for England is always highly contested for places and it's taken several West Ham managers a lot of time to figure out where to fit Noble in to get the best out of him. You can't doubt his character, desire or passion but he is neither a holding midfielder, attacking midfielder, creative midfielder, winger or set play specialist (unless you count penalties). He doesn't have outstanding skill, pace, energy or reading of the game. He's a competent all rounder and 100% loyal.

Mark Noble is brilliant for us and is an important cog in the current West Ham machine. I'm not convinced that even if he ever made the England squad that he would get a look in. There are lots of decent players that never got many or any senior England caps.

Re: Noble for England
What is England quality? Livermore? Colback? Huddleston?

England no longer have a Gerrard, Lampard or Scholes and outside of Alli, Dier and Barkley, Noble more than deserves his chance.

There are several in here, Fordy apart who don't appreciate his contribution to West Ham and for me, it's a nod to Noble that he's been made our captain and a focal part of Slaven's ever progressive West Ham United.

Re: Noble for England
He's playing alright, but he's hardly gonna drag england to the euros and come back with the trophy on his own.

its taken him 10 years to show anything like England form I can see why Hodgson wont pick him.

Some of you need your heads tested.

Re: Noble for England
Don't know why people keep banging on about the England thing. If I was England manager then he probably wouldn't be in my selection either.
He just doesn't have an outstanding attribute that puts him ahead of others. Even the aging Carrick still has sublime passing and is versatile to play a couple of positions.

That said I wouldn't be picking players who can't get a game or who have been out all season with injury either. I'd also be looking at the balance of the squad and not just who are the biggest names that the sponsors like.
Been impressed with Drinkwater this season when I've seen him. Hardworker but also has shown great vision and passing ability. Big part of a Leicester team who could win the Premier League. Earned a chance to be selected.
He's helped massively by the excellent Kante but then so has Noble been with the hardworking and pacy players around him.

I'd say Cresswell deserves a call up more to be part of the squad. Great left foot and gets up and down the pitch.

Carrick, Henderson, Miler, Delph etc are hardly Usain Bolt now are they?

They're all better players though, aren't they?

Re: Noble for England
Charoo if Roy said that he is spot on. Look at the play leading up to the Chelsea pen yesterday.

Noble could not keep up with the tracking back needed.....painfully slow......Some would say embarrassingly slow. Many times this season we have seen Noble struggling to get back in fact when we played Chelsea at UP and Noble gave the ball away and the scored but it was offside COLLINS even managed to sprint back past Noble.

A glaring weakness in his game that many on here refuse to take notice off.Luckily our INTERNATIONAL MANAGER knows a fair bit more about football than them.

Noble has already answered that nugget, by saying that he is English, and he wouldn't play for Ireland because he is not Irish, and it could stop a proper Irishman from playing for his country.

Just when you couldn't like the bloke even more, eh?

I have heard that the owners have spoken to Roy about Noble and Roy replied that Noble is just too slow and won't be selected.

Re: Noble for England
To be fair to Fordy, saying he's had 8-10 decent games is a massive improvement. Just a couple months ago he was telling us that Noble only ever has 3-4 decent games, that's more than doubled now!

"He's spot on.

And he thinks no differently to all the other England managers before him.

Nobles had 8 maybe at a push 10 decent games this season. Drinkwater has been decent all season "

Read that in the papers did you?
